It was July 2013, when I started thinking of leading primates photo tours in Uganda & Rwanda, Africa. When I thought on this project no body I knew in Africa that I would partner with to arrange these tours, but as time went on, finally I met Moses Konde a tour operator in Uganda. Our first meeting was over internet site “Safarious” which has information for African tourism, Moses wrote to me informing me what is profession is and what he does in Uganda and later on I picked interest to discuss more with him, at first he told me that he is an conservationist and I questioned him so much the way he does conservation.
Later, he informed that he arrange safaris and out of the profit he makes he assists some orphans and the local communities educating them the conservation program of tree planting and environmental sanitation to the shores of Lake Victoria. After all this discussion I had Skype call with him regarding the photography tours that I wanted to inspect in Uganda and thereafter we tailor-made a safari that I wanted to take in Uganda National Parks.
We tailor-made a 12 Days Nature Adventure Africa Safari, which was covering almost the tourist sites of Uganda and after the planning of this unforgettable package.
A photographic safari will leave you with lifetime memories – memories that you can print, frame and show the world! Most photographers will tell you that photographing wildlife takes some practice; look for creative ways to practice at your local national park or zoo! And once you’ve set foot in Africa, challenge yourself to capture Africa’s dynamic spirit, you will not leave the continent untouched.
Our hardest Chimpanzee trek so far but as with any wildlife encounter, a truly incredible experience and well worth it. With an early but slow start with the Chimps descending from their nests late, then to retreat early on again, I thought it was one of those occasions where wildlife being just that, wild, not all encounters could be guaranteed.
How very mistaken I was.
The Chimpanzees again descended from the treetops to then lead us through the forest, on and on we trekked, stopping only when the Chimps did to rest, feed or groom. In fact they lead our group so far into the forest, we ended up trekking through to the other side late in the day where we waited on a bush track for a vehicle to collect us.
We were lucky enough to have a baby chimpanzee in our group, my first to see in close proximity in the wild.
A remarkable wildlife experience with trained rangers in Kibale Forest National Park, Uganda.
Every experience unique in itself in a continent that never ceases to amaze me.
Join us in 2017 with a new and exciting itinerary. Not only will you experience these wild chimps but also have the opportunity to work with rescued chimps in a sanctuary at Ngamba Islands Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Witness Gorilla families in the wilds of Rwanda as well as meeting the famed Gorilla Doctors.
