Imagine combining gorilla trekking in Uganda with White water rafting. This tour takes you to Jinja popularly known for being the source of the Nile – the Longest River on planet earth for the magnificent white water rafting experience. The Safari then takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will have a chance to trek one of the habituated mountain gorilla families and take back memories. This trip can as well start from Bwindi and end in Jinja.

Bwindi Impenetrable National park is located in south western Uganda and is divided into four regions. Buhoma region in the North, Ruhija region in the east, Rushaga and Nkuringo in the south. Each region has given habituated gorillas families for gorilla tracking.

If you are to trek gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, then you need to mind about a specific region where you are going as this will affect the Lodge to be booked, gorilla permit as well as your transport. You are advised to book your gorilla permit at least three months in advance to shortage most especially during high season.

Please contact us with the date when you intend to trek and we will advise availability of permits on that day. This permit cost USD 600. Gorilla trekking safaris can take from twenty minutes to three quarters of the day so one needs to prepare for both. This depends on several factors that include, mountain gorilla movements, where the gorillas stayed the previous night and the mood of the gorillas. It may also depend on the people in your group since the guides/rangers move following the slowest person in the group.

Leave Kampala after breakfast and drive to Jinja for one and half hours, go for an exciting life time experience of white water rafting. This is going to be a full day rafting experience; you will spend the entire day challenging the mountainous rapids of the Nile. This experience requires no rafting or swimming experience. Dinner and overnight in Jinja.  On the next day, Challenge your fear of heights by touching the Source of the Nile from the high Nile Bungee jumping Uganda. After the Bungee you will go explore upstream in the wild Nile Jet. Leave Jinja Late afternoon to Kampala where the Safari Ends.
