Tourism in Bwindi focuses on gorilla tracking and also as filming in four locations: Buhoma in the northwest of the park, Ruhija in the east, Nkuringo in the southwest and Rushaga in the south.

Through the help of budget gorilla trekking safaris, you can secure all the necessary documents for filming mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest National Park. For one to film in this park, you will need permission from Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). A contract has to be signed between UWA and the filming company before the permit is issued. In this contract all terms and conditions are laid out properly including all filming fees as required by UWA. Prior booking of the permit is required. In Uganda all gorilla all gorilla trekking permits and filming permits and every crew member is required to have both gorilla trekking permit and filming permit for them to be allowed to film gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable forest and Mgahinga Gorilla Park and these permits are issued by Uganda Wildlife Authority at head office in Kampala.

• Chimpanzee; US$1,050 per includes entry fees, excludes chimp permits

• A 5% monitoring fee is included
