If you are planning for the amazing primate photography safari in Africa, do not miss to visit the mountain gorillas in Rwanda. I and my other 2 friends we booked the a 5 Day gorilla and chimpanzee tour in Rwanda and we had good email contact with Moses from Eco tours Rwanda and through the booking process every thing was perfect, as he was so knowledgeable about our trip and he advised us accordingly and I must say he was transparent in arranging our Rwanda primate holiday based on the best luxury lodges we chose to stay which included Nyungwe Forest Lodge and the Mountain Gorilla View Lodge at the Volcanoes National Park.
Moses the best travel consultant whom we can say the best in Africa as far as arranging the African trip, he was with his team so reliable as far as making deposit is concerned for the trip, when it comes to booking the safari at Nature Adventure Africa Safaris, Ltd the only ask for the deposit of only the gorilla permits and then they give trustworthy room of coming with the balance and this is so good compared to companies which used to ask all the money before you could visit. When you are sending the money you send the gorilla permit fees and then add the bank charges such that they can receive the exact amount to buy the permit and once the permits are secured he managed to send us scanned proof of the permit and we were so happy to have this and we came rest assured to visit the gorillas in the mist.
This company has the best guides to take you around, we were met by Emma who was our driver and guide all the time and he was so welcoming and caring. He took care of us straight from the Kigali International Airport up to our lodge on the fast day and our lodge was the only Nyungwe Forest Lodge a luxury Lodge in Nyungwe Forest National Park. I can’t speak highly enough of Emma who was professional, reliable, entertaining, and knowledgeable throughout my entire tour. As group tour traveling long days can sometimes be daunting spending many hours on the road with guides, but with Emma we never felt tired and he was great company.
We arrived to our accommodation after the gorilla trekking and was blown away, it is an amazing lodges set within the jungle and we watched an incredible sunset from the balcony overlooking the jungle. The staffs at the lodge were lovely and quality services, caring.
The gorilla trekking is an incredible once in a lifetime experience and well worth the high permit price, the guides do a fantastic job it is well maintained and some of that money goes towards the local communities. Emma helped us getting into a trekking group with the friends we had made at the gorilla lodge which we were so much grateful for.
After another night in the jungle lodge we transferred to Kigali driving at our pace with Emma and explaining to us so much about Rwanda and when we arrived to Kigali we took the Kigali city tour visiting some of the genocide memorials and some local markets and later Emma had to drop us at our hotel in Kigali which was Kigali Serena Hotel but we did not want to let him go due to his entertainment and good time we stayed with him for the entire trip!
What i can is chimpanzee trek and gorilla trek was so well arranged and the accommodation was our priority and we all felt comfortable for the entire safari. Overall we were very impressed with the Rwanda Primate tour and Moses organized a great tour. I hope they realize what an asset to the team they have in Emma as we did met other travelers who were not so happy with their drive so i conclude by highly do recommend this company and the team, Moses is so professional at organizing the best trip and then Emma the best guide in Africa.
