Having visited six countries on the continent since 2005, Michael’s desire is to see the needs of people met in order that Africa’s wilderness and wildlife would be safeguarded. With a BA in Journalism and MA in African Studies, he works as an African wildlife conservation researcher and freelance journalist with publications in National Geographic, SWARA (East African Wildlife Society), Mongabay, and Africa Geographic.
Michael partnered with Nature Adventure Africa Safaris with a specific interest in helping Great Heart Africa, through which he now serves as a US representative and executive director. He also built and designed the Nature Adventure website, contributing some of his photos for use. With a background in wildlife photography, Michael is more than willing to join clients as a safari guide while they discover the beauty of the African continent.
